Interview with our latest newcomer from Switzerland
How does it feel moving to Sweden, Värmland and Karlstad to be more precise?
Moving and playing in a new city in a new country feels exciting. After 12 years with my original club «HC Rychenberg Winterthur», it also feels a bit surreal to move, but I think Karlstad IBF and myself are matching perfectly because of our mentality. When I visited Karlstad, I got a good first impression. So, I'm looking forward to living in Värmland and gaining new experiences.
For those who doesn’t know you how would you describe yourself both as a person and as a goalkeeper?
My biggest strengths as a goalkeeper are my energy and presence on the field and being able to show my best goalkeeping in important situations and games. As a person, I am sociable, I get along well with everyone and like to experience new things. I like to play different sports, I like to cook and bake and I also play the guitar. So, I'm pretty multifaceted.
You had a great and successful season in both NLA and the Swiss cup, how was the last season from your point of view?
Last season was very instructive and I was able to gain further experience and to play big games. The performances we showed as a team were sometimes remarkable, but in the end we wanted more. But what we achieved was only possible through our thirst for success, a strong team spirit and a lot of hard work. Therefore, we can be satisfied with our dedication.
What are your thoughts and expectations on the upcoming season?
My anticipation for next season is huge. I'm looking forward to getting to know the team, working hard together to achieve our goals and I believe that we are going to be successful.
